Education of Mukesh Ambani
Mukesh Ambani studied from Hill Grange High School Mumbai. After school, he studied from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. After this he obtained BE degree in Chemical Engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology.
After his studies, Ambani attended Bishop’s University for MBA. He attended Stanford University, but returned in 1980 to help his father run what was then still a small but rapidly growing operation. Ambani was brought home from Stanford by his father Dhirubhai Ambani in 1981 to help him run Reliance Industries. Mukesh Ambani founded Reliance Infosys Limited, which focused on information and communications technology initiatives. When he was 24, he was given the charge of the construction of Patalganga Petrochemical Plant. At that time the company was investing heavily in oil refineries and petrochemicals.
He led the construction of a petroleum refinery in Jamnagar, India, which, integrated with petrochemicals, power generation, ports and related infrastructure, could produce 660,000 barrels per day in 2010. In December 2013, Ambani established 4G network in India. It announced the possibility of a “joint venture” with Bharti Airtel. On June 18, 2014, Mukesh Ambani said he would invest Rs 1.8 trillion in the next three projects. 4G broadband services were launched in the year 2015.
