The right-handed pacer Mohammed Siraj was born on March 13, 1994, in Hyderabad, Telangana. He belongs to a poor family. The name of his father is Mohammed Ghaus, and the name of his mother is Shabana Begum. His father was an autorickshaw driver, whereas his mother is a housewife. The name of his elder brother is Mohammed Ismail, who is an engineer. From childhood, Siraj has loved to play cricket. But because of his poor financial condition, he stopped playing cricket. At that time, his elder brother helped him a lot to become a cricketer and also encouraged him to move forward and do what he loves to do.
It was Siraj’s elder brother who enrolled him in the Charminar Cricket Academy. Earlier, he was preparing for bowling, but as his bowling was good, his coach advised him to do fast bowling, and since then, he has started doing fast bowling. Siraj is now considered one of the best bowlers in India. He also quit his studies to give more time to cricket.
Domestic Career
Under the coaching of Karthik Udupa Siraj, he made his debut for team Hyderabad on November 15, 2015, in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy tournament. On January 2, 2016, after one year since his debut in Ranji Trophy, he made his T20 debut for the 2015-16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament. Siraj emerged as the highest wicket-taker for Hyderabad with 41 wickets at an average of 18.92 in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy tournaments.
Indian Premier League
For 2.6 crore, Sunrisers Hyderabad bought Siraj in February 2017 for the 2017 edition of the Indian Premier League. After this, in January 2018, he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 2018 IPL auction.
In the history of IPL On October 21, 2020, he became the first bowler to bowl back-to-back maiden overs in a single match.
International Career
On November 4, 2017, Siraj made his T20I debut for the Indian cricket team against New Zealand, where he took the wicket of Kiwi captain Kane Williamson. Whereas he made his ODI debut on January 15, 2019 for India against Australia at the Adelaide Oval.
On December 26, 2020, after one year, Siraj made his Test debut for India against Australia, where he took the wicket of Australian fantastic Batter Marnus Labuschagne.
