Akshay Kumar Biography: Akshay Kumar is one of the most famous Bollywood personalities and producer of films in the Hindi film industry. He is known for his work in many hit movies and his acting skills has not only got him many prestigious awards and titles but has also made him one of the richest persons of India. Entertaining people with his outstanding expressions and acting skills, he has worked in almost more than 100 Indian films, winning the hearts of millions of people throughout the world in his 30 years of commitment to the Bollywood film industry.

Akshay Kumar Family & Personal Life:

Akshay Kumar was born on 9 September 1967 to a Punjabi Hindu family. His father Hari Om Bhatiya was an Indian army officer and his mother Aruna Bhatia was a housewife. Akshay’s childhood was spent in the Chandni Chowk of Delhi after which they shifted to Mumbai. Akshay has a younger sister, Alka Bhatia. Apart from studies and acting as a career, Akshay Kumar was interested in sports during his school and college days. Even some of the films of Akshay Kumar’s initial acting career in Bollywood are based on action scenes and sports.

Currently Akshay Kumar is 57 years old and married to actress Twinkle Khanna. He has a son Aarav Kumar and a daughter Nitara. Akshay Kumar is a very active social media personality and usually shows up in public on various social and political issues.

Akshay Kumar has completed his schooling from Don Bosco High School, Matunga after which he got admission into the Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College of Delhi University. While he was enrolled in his graduation, he started developing interest in martial arts and he requested his father to send him to Thailand to learn the skill. His father agreed and send him to Bangkok, Thailand where he worked as a chef and a waiter while learning Thai martial arts. After 5 years of staying in Bangkok, Akshay returned to India and worked in a travel agency in Kolkata. Akshay has lived in different parts of the country while working under various job profiles before he returned back to Mumbai and stared teaching martial arts to the students. But his dynamic career in the acting industry started when he was suggested to do modelling by the father of one of his students.

Akshay Kumar Career and Debut:

Akshay’s career in the film industry started as a model. Before making his entry into Bollywood films and acting, he worked as a model for some brands and a background dancer for some songs. He did a few modelling shoots after which his good physic and acting skills paved the way to his career as an actor in the Bollywood film industry.

Akshay Kumar made his first debut as a lead actor in the Bollywood film industry with Saugandh that was released in the year 1991. After which Akshay Kumar was signed in for the action film Khiladi that got him a lot of pain and love from the public. The movie depicted Akshay Kumar as strong man with a good and muscular body. After this, Akshay Kumar also had to face a downfall in his career when his 2-3 consecutive films become a big flop. But his career revived when he played the role of a Police Officer in his film Main Khiladi Tu Anari.

Akshay Kumar Relationship & Love Life:

During the late 90s Akshay Kumar dated his co-actor Raveena Tandon and got engaged but after a few month they decided to part their ways and broke up.

After his break up from Raveena Tandon Akshay Kumar tide the note with the Indian actress Twinkle Khanna in the year 2001. Twinkle Khanna is a daughter of Indian celebrities Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia. Akshay Kumar is now living a happy life with wife Twinkle Khanna and his two children.
