Arjun Kapoor Early Life and Family

Arjun Kapoor was born on 26 June 1985 to one of the most successful families of the television industry. His father Boney Kapoor is a film producer and his mother Mona Shourie Kapoor is an entrepreneur. He is the grandson of famous filmmaker Surinder Kapoor and nephew of famous bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor. Arjun Kapoor has a real younger sister Anshula Kapoor and two step-sisters Jahnvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.

At the age of 11, Arjun Kapoor and his younger sister Anshula had to witness their father separating from their mother Mona to tie the knot with another famous Bollywood actress, Sridevi. Boney Kapoor along with Sridevi then had two more daughters Jahnvi and Khushi. When Arjun was asked about his opinion on his father’s second marriage, he discussed that he did not really like it at first but he had to accept it and found no benefit in complaining. He also opened up about the bullying that he had to face when his father tied the knot with Sridevi leaving his mother behind.

In the year 2012, Arjun lost his mother Mona Kapoor and after 6 years of that, he also lost his step mother Sridevi in an accident in Dubai. After the death of Sridevi, Arjun’s relationship with Janvi and Khushi has been improving.

Arjun went to Arya Vidya Mandir School which is in Mumbai.He completed his education till the 11th grade in which he failed and then he decided to quit studies. As a result, Arjun started feeling dull and gloomy which made him under confident and insecure.

Arjun Kapoor started his career in the Bollywood film industry in 2003 by working as an assistant director in Advani’s one of the most famous films ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’. After which he assisted Advani in another film called Salaam-e-ishq: A Tribute To Love which came out in the year 2007. Arjun also helped his father during the production of some of his famous films including NO ENTRY (2005) and WANTED (2009).

Arjun made his first debut in the acting industry from Yash Raj Films, one of the leading production companies of India. In the year 2012, Arjun appeared for the first time in cinemas and movie theatres and made his first debut from the hindi romantic film Ishaqzaade in which his co-actor was none other than the famous Bollywood celebrity Parineeti Chopra. His first film was a big hit which not only collected an attractive amount of ₹46 crore but also earned him many prestigious awards including the Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut and he was appointed as a nominee in the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut and the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Male.

Even after his debut, Arjun kept signing many big films with Yash Raj Films and portrayed the lead character in two more consecutive films with the same producing company. After this Arjun also worked with many other directors and filmmakers including Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar which not only yielded him a wholesome amount but also the love and popularity that he had worked hard for.

However in 2015, Arjun faced a downfall as Tevar, a Telugu film in which he was featured along with Sonakshi Sinha and Manoj Bajpayee was a big flop. The movie was the first release of his uncle Sanjay Kapoor which brought in a lot of criticism and hate.
