Sharma was formerly the captain of Mumbai Indians and the team has won 5 titles under his leadership in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020, making him the most successful captain in IPL history, surpassing MS Dhoni (5 titles in IPL ) has shared this record with.
