Trolled for comparing Sita with ‘dog’s licked ghee’
In November 2022, a video went viral in which Dr Vikas compared Sita to a ‘dog licking ghee’ while lecturing UPSC aspirants. In the lecture, he quoted Ramayana and said that Lord Rama did not fight Ravana for Sita because she was like ‘ghee licked by a dog’ and was not ‘worthy’ of him. After his comment, he was trolled a lot on social media and the commenters started the hashtag #BanDrishtiIAS.
Career
Vikas passed the UPSC examination in 1996 after which he was assigned to the Home Ministry. He worked in the ministry department for some time and then resigned from his job to educate students at Delhi University. In 1999, he opened Drishti IAS Guidance Classes in Delhi to give simplified coaching to UPSC applicants.
Vikas sir applies a unique teaching style to help students prepare for UPSC exam. Which will help them in pursuing their studies as well as leading a life as a respectable person. He started giving his lectures in Hindi. Due to which students did not face any problem in understanding the syllabus. In 2017, he started his YouTube channel “Drishti IAS”. On which he started guiding students all over India. Where they will post various materials useful for students. Like study material, various information points, lectures and exam strategies that help students in their. As of 2022, it has more than 8.5 million subscribers.
Although he has so many achievements, he did not stop here and wrote a book named “Essay Vision” dedicated to the students of this country. Divyakirti was born in Bhiwani, Haryana. completed his early schooling in Hindi medium at Saraswati Shishu Mandir. After completing his schooling, he attended Zakir Hussain Delhi College to obtain a Bachelor of Commerce degree. However, he later changed his stream and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Delhi University. Later, he studied for a postgraduate degree in Hindi literature, securing second rank in the first year at Zakir Hussain Delhi College and then moved to Hindu College, Delhi in his final year, where he eventually obtained a Master of Arts degree in 1995. of.
